ROASTS:FRENCH is the darkest roast available, with oily beans that are almost black, but not burned. French roast is very rich tasting with a smoky finish. French roast has more volume, less caffeine, and a lower acid content.ITALIAN (AKA Full City) is our original roast, a roast well suited to Cafe Mam beans. It`s dark and rich in flavor with a bold, complete taste. The beans are shiny due to the residual oils. ESPRESSO is the class of roasts that have brought oil to the surface of the bean. Our espresso is slightly lighter than Italian, with a sheen of oil and a clean, full fruity taste. LIGHT ROAST has light brown, non-oily beans. It has a medium body and an herbal, flowery aftertaste. ----------------------------------------------------------------
BLENDS:Tango is an equal combination of Italian and French. Tengo blends the full bodied richness of Italian with a slightly smoky finish from the French. It takes two to Tango!Viennese is a blend of three parts espresso and one part French. When ground, Viennese looks very similar to Italian. The flavor combination is all its own. Mocho is a 3 to 2 blend of espresso and Italian. It is fruity with good body and a clean aftertaste. It is similar to "mocha java" and is excellent served with food. All roasts and blends are available in regular or decaf. The Swiss Water Process decaffeination is a certified organic process. Custom roasts or blends are also available. Roasted in small batches, Cafe Mam is carefully finished to the desired roast. For maximum freshness, store in an air-tight container in your freezer.
Our bags: We do not use plasticized aluminum valve-lock back or laminated paper/poly bags because they are not recyclable. Our coffee bags are completely recyclable: a natural kraft lined with glassine (recyclable as kraft paper or cardboard).
